苹果已经2年没有更新4寸屏幕的iPhone产品线了，国内外各大媒体时不时就放出一篇「传闻」——以至于4寸屏幕的新iPhone就跟苹果电视（不是Apple TV这个智能机顶盒哈）一样：只在媒体报道里听说，从来没有确凿的证据证实这个产品真实存在。

据日本方面可靠线报透露，苹果的的确确正在准备一款代号「iPhone 5s Mark II」的新手机，搭载A8芯片（目前iPhone 6使用），WiFi升级为更快的802.11ac，蓝牙4.1，前置摄像头则与最新的iPod touch一致——光圈f/2.2。并且！并且！并且！线报同时宣称「这款4寸屏幕的新手机的已经开始生产，随时都可以出货」。
